MEET YOUR TEACHER

M’Le Leach

Hi! I’m M’Le (pronounced EmLee), and I’ve been a longtime lover of movement. I grew up doing every fitness/exercise/dance/Pilates video my mom would bring home. I landed on yoga when I was 14 and was obsessed, but that story is for another time. I have been practicing yoga for 15 years, and teaching for 8.

In 2017 I took my first barre class at Pure Barre, and was once again obsessed, so in 2019 I decided to seek out barre training! The pandemic gave me the opportunity to find in depth virtual teacher trainings with a strong emphasis on practice and studying. In 2020 I completed Levels 1, 2 & 3 with IBBFA Barre Certification. I realized shortly after that I yearned to learn even more and stumbled upon the Lotte Berk methodology.

At the start of 2021, I completed another in-depth training program with Barre and Soul Academy (previously known as Barre Guild Academy) that changed my life and the trajectory of my goals. My biggest passion right now is building the Barre program at Speakeasy. I am constantly seeking out new trainings, workshops and classes to further my understanding of the human body, movement, teaching, and how to make the class attainable and sustainable for all who come to class. I love anatomy, am fascinated by the human body, and am on a mission to help people realize just how strong they really are. In class, you’ll find a lot of humor, a deeper understanding of what your body is doing, and a space to not worry about your physical appearance. So join me on this journey and let’s help bring more joy of movement into the world together.
