Ross Stambaugh is an official yoga nerd, a badge he wears proudly, and he can't wait to go back to school; Ashtanga Yoga Summer School at Speakeasy that is!
It's ashtanga summer school, taught by Dayton's very own Ross Stambaugh. He is a yoga teacher and author of "Ashtanga Svadhyaya: Self Study Guide", and "Yoga Sutra Flipbook." Ross is an authorized level 2 teacher with a deep study of the ashtanga yoga parampara (tradition), and has years of experience teaching internationally.
So if you want to explore Ashtanga Yoga, let's go back to school together!

Modified Primary Series
Monday, August 21, 7:30-8:30am

Wednesday, August 23, 730-8:30am
Thursday, August 24, 7:30-8:30am
Class will be taught with the traditional sanskrit count and pace, but some of the more difficult poses will be removed. Modifications will be offered.
Special Lunchbreak Edition: Yoga ABCS
Friday, August 25, 10:30-11:30am
Ashtanga Short Form consisting of a truncated yoga practice of about 20 minutes, 20 minute breathwork practice, and 20 minutes of traditional yoga chanting. Perfect for those looking to expand beyond their asana!
Mysore Style Practice
Saturday, August 26, 12:30-2:30pm
Mysore is a self paced class where the student does their "in-class homework" while the teacher is there. You can ask the teacher for feedback and tips on your practice and the teacher can provide adjustments and assists if you wish. Cheat sheets will be provided too. If time allows we will finish up with pranayama and a little mantras (chanting) and Mythology. No, it's not two hours long. You start at 12:30 and finish at your own pace.
Ross will also be available to do any private work individually or in small groups for interested students and/or teachers Monday-Thursday 10:30-11:30am, Monday-Thursday 1:30-3:30pm, Friday 1:30-5pm, and Saturday following the Mysore practice. Contact tori@speakeasydayton.com to schedule.
