Whether you have given birth or not, pelvic floor health and deep core stability are important parts of our physical health. In this workshop led by Certified Yoga Teacher and pre and postnatal yoga and movement guide Kyla Aida, we will focus on finding a stronger awareness of the pelvic floor and transverse abdominals in a yoga based movement practice. You will learn to activate and relax these areas in union with your breath and through gentle, accessible poses suited for all levels. Next, students will explore how to engage and manage the pressure in these deep core areas in common postures and movements you might experience in a yoga class, and the session will conclude with learning how to relax the deep core when appropriate to balance out the more active exercises.
